Zomi Innpi Inauguration Marks a New Chapter of Faith for the Zomi Community in Myanmar and Beyond.

KALAYMYO, SAGAING REGION, MYANMAR — A profound moment of faith and history unfolded in Kalaymyo as the Zomi Baptist Convention of Myanmar (ZBCM) inaugurated the Zomi Innpi, its newly built central hall and administrative complex, on November 2, 2025. The opening ceremony stood as the sacred pinnacle of the Convention’s Pearl Jubilee — a celebration marking 30 years of unified gospel work, spiritual leadership, and community service among the Zomi people.

Rooted in the timeless promise of Psalm 33:12 — “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” — the dual celebration carried an atmosphere of gratitude, memory, and renewed mission. It was not merely an anniversary, but a testament to endurance, collective faith, and the sovereign hand of God guiding a people through seasons of change.

A House Built on Prayer, Vision & Generations of Faith

The inauguration service was led by Rev. Dr. Gin Khan Khual, Consultant of ZBCM, who preached the inaugural message with both reverence and hope. Pastors, church elders, regional leaders, and believers from near and far gathered beneath one roof — their voices rising in hymns that echoed decades of trials, triumphs, and divine faithfulness.

A ZBCM executive committee member reflected with heartfelt conviction:

“This building is more than brick and mortar; it is the faithfulness of God through the test of time. It is a testimony for generations, and a tool for the mission ahead.”

Reports highlight that the architecture embodies the Cross of Christ as a defining element — a reminder that the identity of the Zomi as a people is inseparable from their identity in Jesus. From the aerial view, the rooftop of the Zomi Innpi forms a striking red Cross, symbolizing the blood of Jesus Christ who paid the penalty for the sins of humanity, and serving as a constant Gospel reminder rising above the city.

Celebration, Thanksgiving & Vision Forward

The inaugural Sunday culminated in a grand, spirit-filled Thanksgiving service at Silver Jubilee Hall, where joy and reverence blended like one voice. The Pearl Jubilee was not only a remembrance of what God has done — it ignited a new call to pursue what still lies ahead.

In the days that followed, the ZBCM Executive Committee engaged in strategic planning sessions, setting a renewed course for ministry expansion, leadership development, and kingdom impact for the next decades of service.

A Gift to a People — A Light for the Years to Come

The Zomi Innpi now stands as more than a building — it has become the heartbeat of a people. A spiritual anchor. A home.

It is expected to serve as:

  • A hub for worship and revival gatherings
  • A center for theological training and leadership development
  • A foundation for community service, mission engagement & youth formation

The Innpi echoes a truth deeply felt among the Zomi: that God has not only preserved their heritage, but planted their future with purpose.

Built by Faith. Built by Community. Built as One.

This hall did not rise by miracle alone — but by miracle multiplied through people. Its pillars stand on generosity. Its foundation rests on prayer. Its walls were raised by hands young and old, local and global, each one giving what they had: finances, labor, intercession, love.

It is, in every way, a house built together.

As light now fills this new home of worship in Kalaymyo, one message resounds clearly across the hills of Zogam and beyond:

God has been faithful — and His people are still building.
