The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) have launched Operation PARRIS, a large-scale investigation into suspected refugee fraud cases in Minnesota.
🔍 The operation includes:
- New and enhanced background checks
- Re-interviews of refugees
- Verification of refugee claims
- Referrals of fraud cases to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

The initial focus is on 5,600 refugees in Minnesota who have not yet received Green Cards.
