In a significant display of unity and strength, the Zomi Revolutionary Army-Eastern Command (ZRA-EC) successfully conducted its Passing Out Parade at Zogam New Eden Camp. This event, marking the completion of military training for 150 recruits, was made possible through the collaboration between ZPCC, ZRA Headquarters, Zomi patriots, various volunteers, and participants.
The chief commander emphasized the importance of this public celebration, stating, “We are conducting and celebrating this event publicly to raise awareness and campaign for the public to participate in this significant moment.” The parade saw participation from more than 600 people, reflecting the growing support for the ZRA-EC.
Distinguished guests graced the occasion, including representatives from the ZRO Headquarters, the Zomi Council representatives, the Frontal Organization, Zomi leaders from various organizations, community leaders, village chiefs, and church leaders from different parts of the region gathered to witness this momentous occasion.
Despite the light rain, a Zomi political analyst observed that the weather did not dampen the spirits of the participants. “This is another great example of the great leadership and commitment of the Zogam Army and another test of time in good or bad weather or any other condition. They have set a great example for the new batch of trainees,” the analyst noted.
The ceremony was a powerful and inspirational event, showcasing the dedication and commitment of the ZRA-EC to defending Zomi Land. The atmosphere was filled with hope, determination, and a sense of unity as the graduates stood tall and proud, ready to serve and protect their land and people.
The ZRA-EC’s commitment to their goals and the support of the Zomi people at home and abroad have strengthened their resolve to achieve their political aspirations and restore the rule of law and democracy based on the principles of truth and freedom. The future looks bright for the Zomi people as they continue to strive for a better and more just society.
A woman leader among the graduates expressed her gratitude, saying, “The Zomi public support is enormous, and we are very thankful for the moral, financial, and spiritual support we receive from our people at home and abroad. We are confident that our political aspiration of reuniting the Zomi people, protecting our land is at hand, and restoring the rule of law and democracy is imminent on the principle of truth and freedom.”
At the ZRA EC graduation ceremony, the participants took the Pledge and Oath of Allegiance to the Zomi land. The Zomi public support of the ZRA-EC is increasing every day, and it will never stop nor give up even an inch of our ancestral homeland, they pledged.
“As long as I breathe under the power of the almighty God, I will not stop nor give up the rights of the Zomi people in their land. We are ready to defend our homeland from invaders and any form of dictatorship,” said a captain.
