Mizoram Police, in collaboration with intelligence agencies, executed a critical operation leading to the arrest of five individuals, including a senior leader of the Chin National Front (CNF), an insurgent group operating from Myanmar. This operation, carried out near the India-Bangladesh border in the Mamit district, uncovered a significant stockpile of weapons and ammunition, marking one of the most significant arms recoveries in Mizoram’s history.
Authorities seized six AK-47 rifles, 10,050 cartridges, and 13 magazines during the raid on the outskirts of Saithah village within West Phaileng police station limits.
